PLANT MISSION STATEMENT

PLANT is inspired by ethical solidarity with traditional peoples of the Amazonian rain forest and sub-Saharan Africa.  It serves as a platform for traditional peoples’ rights, especially those who suffer marginalization and discrimination that lead to deprivation of resources, cultural erosion and poverty.

PLANT is a resource for human rights, eco-justice initiatives, agroEcology, food and seed sovereignty and Earth Jurisprudence, which affirm the central place of traditional peoples in decision-making processes affecting their lives and the entire earth community.

PLANT is a nexus of collaboration and interaction between partners in Africa, Amazonia, North America and Europe, who are committed to strengthening a network of support for traditional peoples in Amazonia and sub-Saharan Africa.
