Agroecology: The Next Evolution in Food Systems
IPES (International Panel of Experts on Sustainable Food Systems) -- 08 Jun 2020
Agroecology is a way of farming with nature, not against it. It builds resilience to climate change and disease outbreaks by combining different plants and animals, based on farmers' knowledge of their local environments. It doesn't rely on chemicals to fertilize crops and fight pests. Agroecology relies on diversity. And diversity in the field means fresh and nutritious food for communities. So can we embrace agroecology as the next evolution in food systems?"  1:36 minutes

Agroecology versus Industrial Agriculture [Posters & Illustrations]

Fighting for Seeds and Soil
Film by Dan Iles, Global Justice Now -- 27 May 2016
"The New Alliance for Food Security and Nutrition is an aid scheme run by the G7 that claims to have a bold plan of lifting 50 million people out of poverty by 2022.  But, in return for aid, African countries have to make changes to their seed and land laws that benefit big business at the expense of small-scale farmers.  These farmers face the risk of land grabs, seed privatisation, the spread of harmful chemicals and threats to their livelihoods from the New Alliance."
